A member asked:

I have lower back pain and need to know if its spine or muscle pain. how to tell what it is?

Could be both: Best way to answer that question is to get a good examination after someone listens to your history about the pain. Usually if there is a spinal problem, there will be muscle changes associated with it. Figuring that out will help define best treatment options.

Back pain: The back pain can be caused by muscle strain, spinal stenosis, ruptured disc, nerve impingement ... If your pain persists, seek help from a health care provider. You might benefit from a comprehensive evaluation to identify the cause of the pain.
