Back pain: Regular aerobic exercise, maintain ideal body weight, avoid prolonged sitting, proper body mechanics. Swimming regularly is good. See a pain specialist when nothing helps!.

Evaluated yet?: I agree with dr. Patel. However, have you been medically evaluated for the cause of your back pain? That is important to do to insure that you have a "non-surgical" back. In addition to dr. Patel's excellent recommendations - consider acupuncture, acupressure or yoga as well. Good luck.
