Possibilities: Possibilities include acute bronchitis or even pneumonia both of which can complicate a throat infection. Your doctor should evaluate you and you may need further testing like sputum culture, lab work or even a chest x-ray. Treatment may include antibiotics and other meds to help with symptom relief. If your symptoms worsen or you develop shortness of breath, go to an er for more urgent evaluation.
