Usually not: Caffeine has its own intoxication and withdrawal phases. However, inducing psychiatric conditions.... I would say that those persons with pre-existing psychiatric conditions can have elevated symptoms with caffeine overuse/misuse.

Caffiene: Too much caffiene can induce latent or hidden manic symptoms, feeling hyper, tremors, heart burn, disorientation, also caffiene withdrawal when you dont have enough.
