Unsure at this point: Sometimes the breasts are still dense enough that they need to get what is called "cone down views" to get a more detailed picture. This does not necessarily mean you are in trouble. Go for the second views and see what the results are. Don't be surprised if they ask you to come back in 6 months. If needed you can always get a second opinion from a general surgeon. Good luck.

Mostly benign: For a better look at your breasts they re-do the mammogram & likely do an ultrasound. You had an abnormal mammogram. Most abnormal mammograms are NOT cancer. You may have a benign breast condition or normal findings This is a diagnostic mammogram. Radiologist will tell you if the findings are suspicious. Take heart, the overwhelming majority of abnormal mammograms turn out to be benign or normal

Additional imaging: to further evaluate a potential abnormality, or an area not well seen, occurs in about 10% of mammograms. 80% of the time it turns out to be nothing of concern. Of the remainder that go to biopsy, 80% of those turn out benign. So the odds favor a benign etiology, but in a small percentage of cases there is a cancer. It has nothing to do with coffee.
