What is it like to be on the drug ativan (lorazepam)?

Sedative: Fairly immediate onset benzodiazepine, the class of drugs that are used to reduce anxiety, sedate or put to sleep, also used for seizures (to stop them quickly) and sometimes for dizziness or nausea because of the sedation, but also can cause amnesia. Sometimes used to relax muscles but the reason is because of the CNS sedation. Useful, but very addictive.
