Depends on the dose: Benzodiazepines differ from each other in their half lifes, which is the time it takes for the body to eliminate half of the medication. Short acting forms are more addicting because they are eliminated faster and as they wear off the person feels it and wants the next dose. Longer acting forms, such as Klonopin (clonazepam) , have less of a tendency to do this. Change over needs to be done gradually.
