Smog?: If it is smog you are referring to, the obvious answer would be moving to a less polluted community. Given that this is not always possible, avoid living or exercising close to any major traffic areas especially freeways. There have been reports noting that living close to a freeway increases the risk for asthma. That you are at an AFB may increase your exposure to diesel particles.
