With work: 1st by acknowledging that you may be depressed (sounds like you have done that). 2nd by making a commitment to become well. 3rd by getting help. Working with a good therapist can be quite effective. Both cognitive behavioral therapy and insight oriented psychotherapy are excellent. Be evaluated by your physician or a psychiatrist for possible underlying medical causes. Meds might be indicated.
