1st have it examined: See your dentist to rule out internal and external root and crown fractures. X-rays of the area are suggested as the naked eye cannot see everything that can go wrong. It may require further treatment or it may be alright to just let mother nature do what she does best- heal the body. Keep it clean in the meantime and take some motrin\aleve\advil which is also anti-inflammatory.Also soft foods.
