If a person is in critical need of help, but say they do not want help, can you still help them?

Tough one: Sadly, some refuse care until a dire emergency + family calls 911. Keep up persuasion with all available tools-love-toughlove-friends-relatives. A nice doc may agree to introduce h'self on the phone. Or maybe it's about substance abuse or mental health. Treatment can't be coerced unless patient lacks decisional capacity, + addiction treatment has to be voluntary or it wont work. Good luck.
