Not exactly rational: But maybe it works for you. Most everything in life can be done without resorting to such fine detail. Wt loss does not require counting. Most people, and probably you too, have a good idea of what is too much and what is not. Use the general principle if you can. If counting helps you stay on track then by all means do it.
