Thyroid problem: Your TSH is out of range -- but is it lower than normal or higher? Unfortunately, natural medicines (supplements) have not been shown to be effective despite a lot of interest in them. All of my patients who've tried them had to go back on prescription medication. Your thyroxin would be adjusted based on whether your TSH is lower or higher than normal.
