Swine flu: If you got the swine flu, most likely you will not get it for a while if ever. During the epidemic with a similar flu strain early in the 1900s, those who were sick seemed to be resistant to the later epidemic in the 1960s with the similar strain. Flu shots appear to be effective but not 100%, so it is your choice to vaccinate or not.

Yearly flu shot: We recommend annual influenza vaccines for everyone six months of age and older. Influenza is never fun, and can be quite serious or deadly. The flu strains circulating change every year and the vaccines also change according to what's been circulating. So please get vaccinated every year!
