A member asked:

Can someone tell me if the h1n1 (swine flu) vaccine is the only flu shot available now?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Confusing question: The h1n1 is one of three or four strains in the flu vaccine prepared for the 2013-2014 season. It is also the predominant strain responsible for most serious cases of flu this year. The single strain h1n1 flu vaccine was only produces during the 2009 season when the strain emerged in the preseason(april) but was not in the regular vaccine produced that year.
