Anxiety & GI system: Anxiety can result in nausea, sometimes vomiting, belly cramps, and diarrhea. In times of strong sympathetic nervous system discharge (like with intense, sudden alarm & fear) there can be just as sudden evacuation of bowels. People on battlefields know about this, for instance. Anxiety can also result in rapid, shallow breathing; chest pressure or pain; dizziness; tingling sensations, etc.

Anxiety: Anxiety causes the release of the stress hormone cortisol which cause inflammation, stomach upset and memory issues. Anxiety interferes with concentration and focus, people with intense anxiety often can feel their hearts beat, some get headaches, and feel the tension produced in their backs, stomachs and throughout their physiology. Best wishes.

Anxiety: Anxiety or worry is a psychological & physiological state characterized by somatic, cognitive, emotional & behavioral features. It signifies fear/concern/unpleasant sensations/ dread. It causes restlessness, fatigue, muscle tension & concentration difficulties. It is considered a normal reaction to a stressor, unless it interferes with daily functioning or causes significant distress, as in panic.
