Nerve irritation: I suspect one of your skin nerves has been irritated especially in the absence of other symptoms or worsening of the condition. Local compresses (hot and cold) may help. Anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen or Naproxen may be tried. Sometimes a nerve block with Lidocaine or like medications may help stop twitching.
