Possibly: The epstein-barr virus (causes pos vca, ebna ab)is known for manipulating the immune system of infected people (nearly all adults have evidence of past infection).Acute infections, particularly with some viruses, can definitely cause a non-specific rise in autoantibodies like rnp & other antibodies that contribute to having a positive ana.This rise is not permanent and will likely normalize in time.
