You said 'had': If the above worked, that is all you need. Pf can last as long as it wants, based on ongoing irritation/inflammation, but if gone, you can reduce efforts. Once had it, it can come back, prevention involves weight loss (if needed) and increased activity.

Antiinflammatories: Along with the modalities you mentioned, oral or injectable antiinflammatories can be very effective. Both should be used sparingly.

Combo treatment. : If you have plantar fasciitis, the more you can do together, the better: #1: supportive shoes. #2: firm inserts or orthotics. #3: oral antiinflammatories (check with your doctor). #4: stretching your foot and calf. #5: icing (10 min at a time). You may also need physical therapy or cortisone injections, or eswt if available in your area (eswt is great for chronic cases).
