Many causes: Right sided chest pain can be associated with cardiac disease. . Gastroesophageal reflux is probably the most common cause of chest pain.Esophagitis is result of reflux and some patients experience pain with swallowing. Other characteristics of pain including location, type, severity and duration enter into equation. Consult physician for proper diagnosis and therapy.

Several things: At 30, if you have trouble swallowing (i.e. Food 'gets stuck'), you could have esophageal stricture--a disruption of the rhythmic contractions in the esophagus that causes a bolus of food to move down to the stomach. Other things? Gerd, hiatal hernia, others? If you were older, possibly heart issues? Best to talk to your physician and get it checked out--sooner the better.
