Hospital: Total knee arthroplasty is replacement of knee with mechanical joint. Typically need to stay in hospital 3 or more days to control pain, get physical therapy. May also need rehab stay. Ask your surgeon and anesthesiologist about continuous nerve block catheters for post-op pain control. They will discuss your options.
