Ask why not: Is your child's rheumatologist an adult or pediatric rheumatologist?Adult rheumatologists often are less aggressive with using tnf-inhibitors (enbrel/humira/remicade)because adults do get more infections with more aggressive treatment--almost all kids do not have this problem. Our group is very aggressive and we get great results-if rheum doc not willing to try Enbrel (etanercept) or humira, look for a new doc.
