Examine your motion: Do you carry things on one shoulder, or do other things that can cause your neck and upper body to be off balance. Do you sit at a desk or have bad posture? Most problems like yours can be found to be due to how you hold your body or neck. Try ice on your neck, massage is good as well as tylenol (acetaminophen).
