Almond milk: Unsweetened almond milk is just fine. But, you have to avoid the sweetened (sugar added) almond milk.

Almond Milk: Almond milk does contain a limited amount of carbohydrates but is considered a good alternative to milk. If you use almond milk you can obtain without sugar added. Check with your doctor as it is unlikely you can have a healthy diet without carbs, he or she may have meant simple carbs rather than complex carbohydrates like broccoli and other vegetables.
