Possibly: Edema (swelling) if only on one side needs to be evaluated to also assess the entire leg and not just the foot. Sometimes there a is a possibility of blood clots. Please make a visit with your physician to make sure this is not the case. If negative, i wish you a healthy delivery and enjoy your newborn(s).

Swelling in feet: Swelling in feet during pregnancy is not unusual, because of the chemicals in the body are fluctuated that make the body retain more fluid more in the lower extremity due to gravity. Try to keep the legs elevated and reduced on salted diet intake. With that said, during the third trimester (wk 28th-41th) may be a concern for some cases. Check with the caring physician to address this concern.

Talk to OB/GYN: It's not uncommon during 3rd trimester for swelling in the legs and feet but one of the things to make certain is that your blood pressure is under control, especially check for preclamsia/eclamsia (which can be an emergency).

One foot? see OB: Swelling in one foot and not both may be due to one-sided pressure on your pelvic blood vessels from the uterus and/ or a blood clot. See your physician for a thorough exam.
