Unlikely: What you are experiencing is almost certainly braxton-hicks contractions, sort of mild practice contractions common in late pregnancy. Check in with your doc or midwife to be safe, but when you are in real labor it should be obvious. For now, taking at least 400 mg of magnesium glycinate, taurate or citrate a day may help.
