A member asked:

Had x-ray of low lumbar and hips. finding says degeneration in certain discs and 'abnormalities' in hips but doc says nothing serious? difference?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably OK...: It is difficult to say with 100% certainty because I do not know what the 'abnomalities' are. However, it is not uncommon for the radiologist to report mild degenerative changes or other anatomical variants that are common for the sake of completeness in the radiological report. Most referring physicians extract the relevant clinical information for you, but it can't hurt to ask for clarification.
