OMFS or ENT: While some oral &maxillofacial surgeons may operate on parotid glands, more commonly ENT surgeons will treat parotid pathology (assuming that only one side is affected). If both parotids are swollen, consider a medical cause (like mumps, etc). While a salivary stone can also cause parotid enlargement, they aren't all that common. See your ent.

See a dentist: Some people may be more likely to form salivary stones or. You can prevent stones by drinking plenty of fluids. You also can make more saliva by sucking on sour, sugarless candies. Your dentist can show you how to massage your parotid glands to keep saliva flowing. See a dentist for examination, x-rays and treatment.
