Not first line study: The gold standard is an upper extremity venogram in abduction and extreme abduction positions to try and show the subclavian venous narrowing. The syndrome is the venous component of thoracic outlet syndrome that may effect artery vein or nerve. Ps syndrome usually presents with swelling or pain when a clot DVT forms in the upper extremity vein because of the chronic narrowing of the vein.
