Yes: Paget's disease of bone is associated with extremely rapid build up and breakdown of bone in affected areas.This leads to abnormal, enlarged and brittle bone. Risedronate slows down both the breakdown ad the build up and results in more normal appearing bone and can prevent some of the complications of paget's.

Yes: Strengthens bone and decreases pain associated with paget's disease. Must follow directions very carefully when taking, as improper intake can cause esophogeal ulcers.
