Yes, a common cause: Of sore throat includes acid reflux (acid coming up from stomach to the back of the throat) & postnasal drip (mucous dripping from back of your nose on your throat). I suggest stoping motrin, spicy food, fried food, sugar & processed starch (white bread, potatoes).Eating mostly lean protein/veggies /fruits (non-citrus) to see if your condition improves. You can also try antacids(tums) and zantac (ranitidine).
