Does a dr have to prescribe a bone stimulator for a fractured little toe that hasnt healed in 3 months? i can't find one anywhere

Yes: Bone stimulators are usually prescription only. Most insurance plans require 3 months of x-rays to show no callus bone formation. Also, these stimulators are very expensive and it may be best to go thought your insurance.

Bone stimulator: I will assume you know your toe is broken , which means an x ray was taken and again to know it is not healing. A bone stim is ordered/prescribed by a physician. Seek the help of your podiatrist who will help you. Good luck !

Yes: However, i would suggest an evaluation by a orthopaedic specialist first. There may be other options for this problem.
