Avoid as advised: A low lying placenta can often resolve by the third trimester. However, a low lying placenta may also mean that you have placenta previa, in which case the placenta overlies the cervix. Placenta previa has higher risk of bleeding and detachment from uterus. To be safe, avoid intercourse for now as your doctor advised, .
