Thoughts? could nystatin or vagisil treat ringworm?

No: "ringworm" is an infection caused by a group of fungi called dermatophytes. Nystatin is useful in treating another type of fungal infection caused by yeast (candida) but is not effective against dermatophytes. Vagisil is an otc product that does not have antifungal properties.
