Ringworm: The source of ringworm fungus is generally irrelevant to its treatment. The location on the skin is very relevant. If it is on the scalp, it requires oral medication. Elsewhere, topical katoconazole is one of a number of effective medications. Triamcinolone does not have anti fungal properties and will not cure the infection.
