No: Antidepressants should take away the intensity or severity of negative emotion like depression and despair or anxiety, but not numb your feelings. If this is happening, you may need to taper off your medication and start a new medication, or it could be indicative of depression and a higher dose or your antidepressant is needed to properly treat the depression.
