It depends: For each 3500 calories we eat above what we burn we gain one pound. 2500 calories daily for someone that is inactive and very small could lead to a gain of 2-3 pounds a week. If you are tall, exercise a lot and stay active, 2500 calories may actually lead to weight loss is some people. Check with your physician or nutritionist to determine the best for you.
