See derm: Pregnancy alone can be associated with skin rash sometimes severe. A short-course of prednisone is the usual treatment . Benadryl (diphenhydramine) does help by making you a little drowsy and probably not from its antihistamine effect. If the problem continues, consult a dermatologist.
