Preconception: A history of DVT is a significant risk for pregnant women. The aim is preconception counseling with your doctor. Low molecular weight Heparin is used in pregnancy for women with this disorder and most do fine. Plan this with your doctor, don't surprise. They will appreciate planning with you. However, in general, pregnancy after DVT is not recommended.
