Fungus among us: Yeast like warm, moist, highly glycogenated(sugar) conditions to thrive. Yes, they are easy to acquire and sometimes hard to treat. Vaginal rx's work and if not a oral medication. Sex in the middle of treatment with or without a condom prolongs the "agony". Make sure that it is not something other than yeast by md checkup.

Candidal vaginitis: This may be predisposed to by a number of conditions including diabetes, steroids, antibiotics, among others. You should try being treated orally through one entire menstrual period, and your sexual partner can use an anti-fungal cream or ointment. Some women have an inflammatory reaction to condom materials and this may perpetuate the condition. Check with your gynecologist. Good luck.
