Avoid pop and large amounts of coffee/tea - drink lots of water. Use cranberry supplements. Take one antibiotic pill right after sex. You and partner wash with bactericidal soap prior to sex. If you need antibiotics use yeast arrest - has boric acid to prevent yeast.

UTI: 1) are thee uti's diagnosed by urine cultures? Many times you can have symptoms similar to UTI and there may be no bacteria involved. You may be taking antibiotics unnecessarily. 2) if not done, you should see a urologist and consider using a prophylactic antibiotic before or after intercourse depending on the frequency of uti's.
