Likely, but: It may be slowed by maintaining a desirable weight, bone health, healthy diet, sufficient sleep, possibly supplements, not smoking, core muscle strengthening, proper posture, ergonomics, injury prevention, etc. If symptoms persist and condition severe, treatment with regenerative medicine may be an option to consider in the future.

Not likely.: Degenerative disc disease is not a disease. It is a radiographic diagnosis describing age related changes on a scan. Your back pain may or may not be related to your MRI findings. No treatment is necessary.
