Immediately: Ischemia of some of the tissue including he local nerves. There are good collaterals in the arm and forearm. Concern is embolism with branch occlusions. Surgically we take the whole radial, artery out and people do fine if we have tested-allen's test/ and doppler study in advance. Chronically one may have inadequate collateral. Why did it happen.

Radial artery: Occlusin can cause pain , but so can many many other conditions that may not be associated with this.
