HIVES : Hives are an allergic reaction to something foreign. They are not an infectious disease. This means your body is not liking the ink or something else in your new tattoo.

Hives: Hives are not contagious. Although, some rashes may be mistaken for hives that are contagious- like chicken pox or cellulitis.
