Genetics: This is not a simple question. There are several important tests that the transplant team will test on you to see if you are indeed a match. It is much more complex than just being his son.

Not a good idea: With kidneys you have two and one could be donated. With an adult in liver failure, they need a whole one.You only have one and you need it.. Sometimes a parent will donate a partial liver to a kid, but it is unlikely this could help in your situation.
