How common is it for someone to need a neck cta?

Not unusual: If patient has abnormal ultrasound of the carotid arteries or has TIA (mini stroke) or stroke symptoms, cta of neck can be performed. Also used in certain trauma patients if vascular injury suspected.

CTA of the neck: Cta of the neck is usually done to evaluate arteries in the the neck. Usually the carotid or vertebral arteries. Most common reason is to evaluate narrowing in there arteries.
