is it bad to wear tampons at night while sleeping?

Dr. Pierrette Mimi Poinsett

Tampons and sleep: Best to change tampons at least every 6-8 hours. The concern about keeping tampons in for long periods without changing is related to toxic shock syndrome (fever, rash, shock). You are also less likely to have other issues with vaginal discharge if you change tampons frequently. Best to also use tampons that are unscented.
