I can't sleep at all its driving me crazy i feel like i have insomnia. any advice?

Evaluation: Doctors who specialize in sleep are available. A good pcp may also be able to evaluate issues about possible insomnia. You need to be certain there is no medical condition, like hyperthyroidism, hyperadrenalism or other things that can interrupt or prevent sleep onset. In general, good sleep hygiene and medical evaluation are in order to help you.

If this has been : Going on for a while seek medical evaluation. Use good sleep hygiene. Retire ; rise same time each day. Keep bedroom dark ; cool ; use only for sex ; sleep. Turn off tv. No naps. Exercise regularly but not in late evening. No caffeine for 6 hrs ; no alcohol or tobacco w/i 2 hrs of sleep. Keep dinner moderate sized ; finish at least 2 to 3 hrs before sleep.
