A member asked:

How come i have periorbital cellulitis, but nobody else in the family has it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Source: Periorbital cellulitis is often caused by organisms which are normally resident in the upper respiratory tract and may emanate from the sinuses, facial infections, or the other ancillary structures of the external portion of the eye. These bacteria are common and whether you develop infection depends upon a variety of underlying factors. It is not spread from person to person generally.
