Depends: Depends on the reason for the swelling. If it's because of heart or kidney problems, it may not stop swelling unless you treat the underlying condition. If it's swollen due to trauma, it may start to decrease swelling after 1-2 weeks of proper treatment and up to a year if it's severe fracture dislocation.
